The Peak District Highland Games 30th August 2026

Now celebrating its 10th year, this much-loved event promises another thrilling day of competition as some of the UK’s top strongmen and strongwomen go head-to-head in a series of crowd-pleasing challenges, including the awe-inspiring Eight Tonne Tractor Pull, the Peak District Dinnie Stone Challenge, Tossing of the Caber, the 120kg Log Press, the demanding Stone of Destiny Carry and brand new for this year - the Sword of Strength! The kids can get involved too with the spectacular Tug-o-War for Kids VERSUS Strength Athletes!
Adding a touch of Scottish heritage to proceedings, the City of Sheffield Pipe Band and Scottish Dancers will perform during the Opening Ceremony at 10:45am.
Beyond the arena, visitors can browse a lovely selection of market, craft and games stalls, while food and drink concessions will offer plenty of refreshments throughout the day. Join in with popular animal encounters too, including children’s pony rides*, reptile meet and greets, meerkat feeding sessions, sheep races and more! Plus there's great playtime fun for the children, featuring our fantastic Enchanted Hamlet and indoor Rainforest Play Barn!
Ticket holders with a 9:00-10:00am arrival time slot receive 10% off breakfast dishes from our Cafe up to 10:30am! (Proof of ticket time slot required for breakfast discount).
Annual pass holders please book a £10.00 'Annual pass discounted ticket'. This is only valid when presented with the annual pass on arrival.
